Are you suffering from a smile that is not straight? Does it cause you to doubt your smile? Want to fix it, but don’t want a mouth full of metal? Dr. Boyle understands how you feel and has an option that may work for you. Tab A. Boyle, DDS Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry is the premier Invisalign provider in the Lancaster, CA area, and we want to help you straighten your smile and get you back to living your life.
What Is The Invisalign System?
The thing that folks really like the most is the Invisalign. The advantage of the Invisalign is that they're clear plastic trays that you take out. You can brush and floss and put them back in. I tell everyone, you've got to wear them 23 hours a day. If you just wear them at night, it won't work. Invisalign will get you straight teeth without having to have metal and brackets, bands, and wires.
With the Invisalign, they've had crooked teeth for a long time and they finally decided for whatever reason that, 'Now, I want to get my teeth straightened.' They say, 'I don't want to have brackets and bands like teenagers. I want something that looks normal.' That's what the Invisalign does. In most cases, it does it quite well.
A revolutionary approach to straightening your teeth, Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners, like mouthguards, to gently move your teeth into their proper positions. You will have a series of aligners custom made for you. Each aligner set will progressively move your teeth closer to their proper positions. The average amount of time it takes for Invisalign to properly align your teeth is roughly 12 months. This is less than half the standard treatment time for traditional braces. Dr. Boyle will go over your situation, and together, you and he will come up with a treatment plan that will realign your smile and give you the appearance that you desire.
What Is The Invisalign Process?
The whole process could not be simpler. In three easy steps, you can have the smile you have always wanted. The road to a straighter smile begins at Tab A. Boyle, DDS.
Step #1 – The first step is to get in and see Dr. Boyle. He will evaluate your situation and put together your dental treatment plan. Dr. Boyle will take X-rays of your teeth as well as dental impressions. These will be used to make your set of custom Invisalign aligner trays. Dr. Boyle will be able to show you step by step how your teeth will be shifted into correct alignment.
Step #2 – After your aligner trays have been produced, you will pick them up from the office and begin your dental treatment. You will need to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours per day. The two hours that you have them out are for eating, drinking, and dental hygiene. You can brush your teeth like you normally do and clean your aligners at the same time. When you are getting ready to eat a meal, just pop the aligners out, eat, and pop them back in. It is that simple. You will change aligners every two weeks, unless otherwise directed by Dr. Boyle.
Step #3 – The final step is for you to enjoy your new smile. Your teeth will be in their right positions, and your smile will never have looked better. Show off your great smile to friends, family, and coworkers, knowing that it was Invisalign that helped you get there.
What Are The Benefits Of Invisalign?
There are three distinct benefits to Invisalign.
Appearance – Invisalign does not affect your appearance in the way that traditional braces do. You do not have to deal with metal brackets bonded to the front of your teeth, with unsightly wires everywhere. The clear aligner trays make your treatment method practically invisible to the people around you. You will be getting the smile you have always wanted, and no one will even know.
Convenience – You will only have to see Dr. Boyle every six weeks or so for a check on your progress, and possibly to pick up more aligner trays. Other than that, you don’t have to worry about constant orthodontic visits to adjust hardware or tighten wires. You also can enjoy the types of food that you want. Since you can just pop the aligners out during meals, there is nothing that you can’t eat — unlike traditional braces, for which you have to avoid a slew of great-tasting foods due to the metal in your mouth. Brushing your teeth with Invisalign is no different than normal, either. Just pop the aligners out, brush, and pop them back in. It is not nearly the hassle that it is with traditional metal braces.
Comfort – No metal means no irritation to your lips and gums. The smooth plastic is comfortable and easy to wear. Traditional braces are uncomfortable both at first and following each adjustment. That is not the case with the smooth, clear plastic aligner trays from Invisalign.
