When your teeth aren’t straight, your smile suffers. Dr. Boyle can help you straighten your smile without the burden of unsightly brackets and wires. Welcome to the world of short-term orthodontics, and your clear path to a straighter smile.
What’s the Difference Between Short-Term and Traditional Orthodontics?
The obvious difference between short-term orthodontics and traditional orthodontics is the amount of time the treatment takes. Traditional forms of orthodontics, like metal braces, take roughly two to three years to effectively treat most alignment problems. Short-term orthodontic treatments are effective in about half as long.
Short-term orthodontics, however, may not be able to effectively treat some major alignment problems. That is why traditional orthodontic treatments are still so prevalent. There are some conditions that can be fixed only the old-fashioned way. Short-term orthodontics is also effective only for older teens and up. This is because the dental structure is fully formed in this age group, unlike with younger patients. Dr. Boyle will go over everything you need to know about your orthodontic options. He will evaluate your condition and work up a customized treatment plan for your situation.
What Options Does Dr. Boyle Have?
At Tab A. Boyle, DDS Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry, we offer two short-term orthodontic options. Helping you get your smile where you want it as fast as we safely and effectively can is our goal with these options.
- Invisalign – This is a revolutionary way of straightening your teeth while keeping the fact that you are doing so a secret from those around you. The clear aligners will gently guide your teeth into their proper spots in your mouth, leaving you with a smile that you will be proud to show to everyone. Come in and get your smile evaluated for Invisalign. Dr. Boyle will look at your situation and help you determine if this is the right course of action for you.
- ClearCorrect – This is another type of clear aligner system. While similar to Invisalign, there are a few differences. ClearCorrect has three levels of treatment to fit your needs. Each level provides you with a different number of aligners to move your smile at the pace that is right for your situation. Dr. Boyle will go over how each level works and whether you need to move to the next level of treatment. Call our office today to schedule your consultation, and get on the road to a better smile now.
What Is The Cost?
The cost for clear aligner treatment is in the same range as the cost of traditional orthodontic treatment. The real value in the treatment comes when you consider the amount of time saved by using Invisalign or ClearCorrect over the traditional method. You will only be in treatment for roughly a year versus two to three years with a traditional method. Your smile will be ready to show off, and you will feel more confident than ever before.
